PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT - GETTING STARTED IN EXTENSION PROGRAMMING

Description:

This CD-Rom provides a basic foundation in program development and evaluation in UW-Extension. It is made available to all new employees at the time of hire and is the prerequisite for developing core skills as an extension educator. It includes activities, case examples and audio explanations from a variety of Extension colleagues. It is designed to help you

  • Understand Extension programming
  • Learn the basics about Extension program development
  • Get ready to work effectively with your program area representative
  • Start thinking about writing a plan for your work.

It will help you understand the uniqueness and value of Extension educational programming. You will become familiar with our Extension language of inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact. You can work through the CD-Rom at your own pace and continue to use it throughout your career in UW-Extension.
