SPECIAL PROJECTS
Tobacco: Local program evaluation
The Program Development and Evaluation Unit is partnering with
the UW-Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Center for Health Policy
and Program Evaluation to provide statewide monitoring and evaluation
for the Wisconsin Tobacco Control Board, which supervises the
tobacco settlement fund. Our role is to provide training and technical
assistance to Wisconsin's tobacco-free coalitions around the state
in order to build local capacity in program development and evaluation
that will help ensure effective performance and attainment of
positive results. Five regional specialists and one statewide
coordinator work with tobacco-free coalitions to design results-based
programs and implement evaluations that are practical, credible
and useful. Visit the Tobacco Project web site at: http://www.uwex.edu/ces/tobaccoeval/
