CNMP Training

This Comprehensive Nutrient Management Planning Curriculum was developed by University of Wisconsin-Extension, partner conservation agencies and private sector consultants as a component of the CSREES Great Lakes Regional Water Quality Leadership Team Conservation Education Program.

Comprehensive Nutrient Management Planning (CNMP) is more than just a 590 nutrient management plan. By closely examining the entire livestock production system a planner can identify current and potential problems resulting in a reduced potential for pollution.

The Great Lakes program works to improve water quality management through educational knowledge and extension programming that emerges from a research base. The program builds on the strengths of the Extension Water Quality Programs at the Land Grant Universities throughout the Great Lakes States.
