Manure Applicators
This session includes two separate back to back seminars. The first Application in Karst Areas will help you understand the basics of the shallow bedrock aquifer found in NE Wisconsin. You will learn how to recognize features that indicate shallow bedrock is present, techniques for reducing the risk of groundwater contamination, and pro-active steps you can take to prevent problems. The session is open to manure applicators, crop consultants, and other liquid waste applicators. This session qualifies for Level 2 credit for PNAAW certification
The second session is the Revised PNAAW Level 1 training certification.
This half day session will take employees through the basics of spill
response, understanding a nutrient management plan and an overview
of the regulations affecting manure application. This year's session
includes a hands on workshop using the current 590 standard that walks
applicators through the basics of developing a manure application rate
and setback map
