Final Steps

The "Thank You Page."

  • When a respondent completes your survey, they can be directed to a "Thank You Page." This is a good place to thank the respondent for their time, and to let them know when results will be announced (if they will be). There are several options available.
  • If you plan to use the survey at a conference, you can redirect the user back to the start of the survey. (No thank you page.)
  • If you don't wish to include thank you information, or wish to have a webpage on your own site that thanks the user, you can redirect the user directly to another website, such as the Cooperative Extension home page. (No thank you page. Please provide the URL you'd like for the redirect.)
  • Standard or Branded page. If you'd like to brand the thank you page, you can provide an image and we can upload it. You can add text and links to additional pages.

Survey Distribution

  • Decide how you want to distribute the survey. Zoomerang offers several options.
  • Use a list of email addresses. If you would like to invite a select group of people to participate, you may provide us with a list of email addresses. Each person will receive an individual invite to participate. You will be able to send reminders, track respondents, and receive detailed deployment information. This is the only option which allows responders to begin the survey, stop and resume it again later.
  • Generate a URL link. If you don't have a list of email addresses, or want this survey to be open to the public, you can request a URL link. You can also use this option to send the survey link to an existing email list.

Sharing Results

  • Private - results are not disclosed to anyone but Tech Services staff and you.
  • Restricted - results are aggregated and shared. Individual responses are not shown. You may choose to require a password to view these shared results.
  • Public - results are shared, including individual results. You may choose to require a password to view these shared results.

Survey Closing

  • All surveys require a closing date. Please think about how long you would like your survey to remain available. Generally, we suggest about 2 weeks.
  • If you would like any special information to be posted when your survey is closed, you can provide that text. You can also link to another site, if you'd like to make results available after the survey is closed.
  • When your deadline for completion has passed, email your Tech Services Zoomerang contact and request the final results in either Excel spreadsheet form with individual responses, or in a .pdf format with a general graphical overview.

Last Notes

  • Surveys can be sent to Tech Services in Microsoft Word format, or in text format in an email. Please send only the final draft of your survey.
  • We require clients to review the draft survey for any necessary changes. The draft survey and the final survey will have different URL's, and the draft survey will be closed when the final survey is posted.
  • Once your survey is at the top of our priority list, it usually takes 1 to 2 weeks to complete and post the final survey. Please plan accordingly.
