Todays presentation on integrated weed management will be approached from a number of different angles.  To understand how to best control weeds, its important to understand their ecology and biology – The how’s and why’s of where and when weeds exist.  So we’ll be starting off with some basic weed biology and ecology.  From there, we’ll move on to different control strategies (biological, cultural, chemical, etc.).  And then, since our chemical controls have the greatest degree of crop and environmental risk, we’ll take a closer look at some of the ornamental chemicals and factors which can affect their application.  Finally then we will spend some time on weed identification.  So with that, let’s get started with the question……
