Assess the candidatesAfter the applicant has left the room, each interviewer should complete the notes and the Interview Rating section of the "Applicant Assessment Form" - PDF*. The purpose of this form is to help you hire the best person for the job quickly and easily. Each member of the interview team should complete his or her "Applicant Assessment Form" - PDF* individually. When all interviews are completed, it's time for the team to meet to make a decision on the candidates. How do you decide? Review the rankings on the "Applicant Assessment Form" - PDF*. Who are the top three candidates? Does one person clearly stand out above all others? If so, that's the person you want to hire - after checking references, of course! If not, you may need to conduct a second interview or use reference information to help you decide. Go to "Check references" |
