Get your new employee startedAn employee's first day on the job plays a major role in how he or she perceives work. There are a number of things you can do to make it successful. One of the first is to make sure that all the necessary paperwork is sent to the WNEP Office so the person doesn't miss a paycheck. Take time to review contents of the new hire packet with your new employee. Plan time in your schedule the first day to make sure he or she is welcomed, introduced and oriented. Have ready for the new employee's first day the materials listed on the New Colleague Orientation Resources web page (http://www.uwex.edu/ces/nco/resources.cfm) such as:
