Guide and Resources for Hiring WNEP Nutrition Educators

Welcome! This section of our web site will help you hire Nutrition Educators/Home Visitors.

Hiring employees can be an enjoyable learning experience. It's a time when you can review your department goals and objectives, build a selection team, and listen to the creative ideas of applicants. It can also be time consuming, frustrating and even a bit frightening, especially when you when you get to practice as an "employment manager" only once or twice a year.

The materials on this site will help you hire employees quickly, efficiently, and painlessly. It's in a step-by-step format that you can read start to finish or begin wherever you want by going to the "Hiring Outline." Each section has "Tips" that are bits of helpful, practical advice. You'll also see "Need help?" boxes that tell you who to call or where to go for more information about specific topics.

The forms and sample letters you will need to use in the hiring process are linked to either a web version of the form or to directions for obtaining the forms. A "Hiring Forms Directory" lists all the forms and letters used in hiring and provides links to each document or instructions.

Tips

  • Go to the Hiring Forms Directory and print out a copy of all of the forms. Now when you are reviewing information you won't have to switch back and forth between screens.
  • Use the forms you have just printed as a "master" for making copies needed during the hiring process.
