Article on Hispanic resources features Rock Co. WNEP Staff (8/29/05)
The Feb. 22 issue of the Beloit Daily News features an article by Jessie Waldheim titled "Resources serve Hispanic community." The article describes involvement by UWEX educators: "The University of Wisconsin Extension, provided through Rock County, has two Spanish-speaking educators who make home visits to families in the county. Yolanda Pena, one of the educators, visits the homes of about 15 to 20 families a week, offering information on nutrition, parenting and child safety. In addition to teaching the in-home classes, she also translates for her clients and helps them find and use other services."
