Food Security Survey (2/23/06)
On October 29,2005, The Wisconsin Dells Events had as their lead article information about the Food Security Survey done by Adams, Columbia and Sauk Counties WNEP. The survey showed that the survey had an 86% return rate (n=440). Results showed that 21% of families are classified as food insecure and 8% have experienced hunger in the last year. The survey showed that the survey had an 86% return rate (n=440). Results showed that 21% of families are classified as food insecure and 8% have experienced hunger in the last year. In addition 40% of the families are poor or near poor and 42% of those are food insecure. Of the remaining 60% of households, 7% are food insecure.
