UW Colleges and UW-Extension chancellor honors Shelley King-Curry (10/4/11)
UW-Extension nutrition program outreach specialist Shelley King-Curry has received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence for contributing to the strength and success of Cooperative Extension programs throughout Wisconsin by her leadership and commitment to colleagues’ professional growth. UW-Extension and UW Colleges Chancellor Ray Cross presented King-Curry with the award at the institutions’ annual Chancellor’s Awards reception Sept 22 in Madison. Food Security Survey (2/23/06)
On October 29,2005, The Wisconsin Dells Events had as their lead article information about the Food Security Survey done by Adams, Columbia and Sauk Counties WNEP. The survey showed that the survey had an 86% return rate (n=440). Results showed that 21% of families are classified as food insecure and 8% have experienced hunger in the last year. School newsletters feature WNEP educator (2/15/06)
Shirley Crowe is featured in recent school newsletters in Clayton and Unity School Districts. Unity has devoted 2 full pages and Clayton one page to WNEP in their newsletters. Regents Award for Excellence awarded to WNEP (12/4/08)
The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents honored winners of the 2008 Academic Staff Awards for Excellence at their meeting on August 22. This is the highest recognitiaon bestowed on members of the UW System's academic staff. Regent Eileen Connolly-Keesler, committee chair said, "The Board is pleased to honor a group that helps to stregthen and invigorate not only our UW institutions, but the communities which they serve."
