From Sarah Halstead, Board President, and JoAnn Stormer,
Executive Director
For those of you who have been connected to the Wisconsin
Rural Leadership Program since our beginning...you will notice the common thread in our new brand - Leadership and Wisconsin. The core concept of our work is based in research
that clearly identifies effective leadership as the most
important determinant of healthy, vibrant communities. Leaders
are essential to communities moving forward. Our new brand
reveals immediately what we have been and remain committed
to: Developing Leaders to Strengthen Communities.
In 1983, this organization began its great work as the Wisconsin
Rural Leadership Program. Following significant study and
analysis conducted in 2007-2008 by the Board of Directors.
We have emerged from the planning process with a renewed
sense of confidence in the inherent wisdom of our mission,
as will be reflected in our new brand.
It is a new era and as they say "the times they are a changin' " and after
very thoughtful consideration, our Board committed to updating our look.
While celebrating this proud legacy of achievement, our attention is focused on the future, long-term health of Wisconsin communities.
As an organization, we have a long history of enhancing and broadening knowledge, growing skills, and nurturing passion for those who will take the lead as statesmen like leaders for Wisconsin. This new brand solidifies our long heritage of doing what we do well and provides a new look to who we are and what we stand for.
We hope you will take this opportunity to reaffirm your personal commitment to leadership development that strengthens our communities in Wisconsin. With your continued support, the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program will move forward to celebrate another successful twenty-five years now as … Leadership Wisconsin. |
