Leadership and Community Seminar
The LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY SEMINAR sponsored in large part by
Farm Credit Services was held in Tomahawk, September 12-15 organized
by seminar Co-chairs, Boyd Rossing Community Development Specialist,
UW-Madison and Larry Swain, Community Development Specialist UW-River
Falls. The theme was Leadership for Community Building, Action
and Change. The seminar helped participants identify their individual
leadership values, beliefs and practices in order to become more
effective leaders. The seminar also expanded participant's knowledge
and skills for effective collaborative leadership dealing with diverse
interests. Participants who deepen their sense of leadership direction
and who possess skills in effective collaborative leadership will
be better prepared to take on leadership roles that serve their local
communities well.
