Group X (2002 - 2004)
Group X Recognition, July 17, 2004
On July 17, 2004, Group X participants celebrated the end of their
two-year journey at the Best Western Grand Seasons Hotel in Waupaca.
Many tears were shed during final reflections as the group reminisced
about their experience. They enjoyed their last dinner together aboard
the Lady of the Lakes boat on Friday evening. Many thanks goes out
to the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program Alumni Association (WRLPAA)
for their financial support for this evening.
During the graduation ceremony, many songs were sung and poems were
recited by the participants—memories jotted down on a long
bus ride or conversations late into the night between roommates.
Participants donated items for a silent auction and raised over $1800
for the program. WRLP thanks all the participants for their generosity
and for those in attendance who supported this worthy cause.
The WRLPAA recognizes one alumni every two years for their outstanding
leadership contributions and presents this during graduation. The 2004 Outstanding Alumni Award was awarded to Mark
Cook, Group III.
It is with great pride that WRLP recognizes the following 28 men
and women as they go forth to serve in their communities.
