Constructivist instructional design: The instructional designers' practice and perception

Abstract This presentation addresses the results of a doctoral dissertation that investigated the perceptions and practices of instructional designers and administrators of online learning programs regarding constructivist learning environments in online course design. Results include the reasoning and frequency for its adoption, barriers, and type and number of activities grounded in constructivism.
