Katherine Hayden, Ed.D. Associate Professor, Educational Technology School of Education
Katherine is the first recipient of the Schullo Award based on her 2009 Conference Information Session: Best of the Best in Online Instruction: Effective Strategies for Designing Online Activities (pdf) Katherine Hayden is an Associate Professor for the College of Education at California State University San Marcos. She teaches the technology courses for a California teaching credential, online master's courses for technology related topics, and a doctoral course for Educational Leadership. Her research involves building online communities and identifying best practices for videoconferencing in learning environments. She believes in technology as an integral part of the educational experience and has worked extensively with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community members in order to promote the use of technology as a tool in education and lifelong learning skills. Katherine has participated in projects at the district level, county, and state level in order to bring about change in teaching and learning. |
