ABOUT LIGHTNING SESSIONS
This is our customized version of Pecha Kucha. Presenters distill and present a topic in 10 minutes with a maximum of 10 slides. Several sessions will be presented consecutively with questions at the end of the entire session.
Suggested level of experience
This format does not require prior presentation experience and is open to graduate students and professionals new to the field.

Room set-up and equipment provided
Lightning Sessions will be set up theater-style with seating for approximately 75 participants.
The conference will provide a pre-loaded computer and moderator for lightning sessions. The room will be set up with a projector, screen, microphones & audio system, podium, and presenter's table.
NOTE: Accepted presenters in this format will be required to provide a pre-timed slide loop/display to conference staff approximately two weeks prior to the conference.
Acceptance requirements
- If your proposal is selected for presentation and you accept, you are committing to register for and attend the conference. Presenters must register by June 6, 2012. Accepted Lightning Session presenters will receive a registration discount of $125.
- Accepted Lightning Session presenters are required to submit a one-page summary paper by May 4, 2012 (OR the option to submit a 3-5 page proceedings paper by that date). All accepted papers will be published in the 2012 Conference Proceedings and Resources and added to the Resource Library on the conference website.
- Accepted Lightning Session presenters must submit participant resources (handouts, slides, etc.) electronically by July 16, 2012 to be included in the Resource Library on the conference website.
