Keynote speaker: Marilyn Moats Kennedy

Biographical information

Marilyn Moats KennedyMarilyn Moats Kennedy is the founder and managing partner of Moats/Kennedy, Inc., a 35-year-old management consulting firm in Wilmette, Illinois.  Marilyn holds two Journalism degrees from Northwestern University and is a former DePaul University faculty member.  She is a charter member of Northwestern University's Council of 100 and The Medill School's Journalism Hall of Fame.

Marilyn now makes more than 100 presentations a year on a variety of topics affecting the evolving workplace.  She has written six books, the first of which, Office Politics: Seizing Power/ Wielding Clout, established her as an expert on political survival in the business world.  For many years, she has written “In the Trenches” columns for Across the Board magazine and “Job Strategies” columns for Glamour magazine.  Marilyn is quoted regularly in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune magazine, and Fast Company magazine and has appeared on 20/20 and Good Morning America broadcast television programs.
