We are glad to have you participate in this year's conference, and we will make every effort to assist you in making your presentation a success.
General Information for Course Design Showcase Presenters

Course Design Showcase format:
During these 45-minute sessions, presenters will demonstrate and discuss their successful online courses or training materials. Attendees will have an opportunity to view five different course or training demonstrations going on at the same time in the showcase room.
Key showcase discussion points:
- Course organization
- "Look and feel" of the course interface design
- Individual and/or group learning activities
- Approaches fostering student engagement and interaction
- Assessment of learning outcomes
- Evaluation of course effectiveness
- "Look and feel" of interface design .
Submit handout:
We require that each Course Design Showcase provides a handout to attendees at the conference. We also request a copy to include in our Web Resource Library.
- Download the Course Design Showcase handout guide
- Create handout
- OPTIONAL: Email handout to Conference Drop Box (distel2@education.wisc.edu) by July 15. In SUBJECT LINE, please write Course Design Showcase_(insert presenter’s last name); Example: Course Design Showcase_Peterson.
- Bring 50 copies of the handout to the conference.
Registration:
- One presenter per Course Design Showcase session will receive a discount of $125 off the standard registration fee.
- No other conference discount may be applied.
- All presenters and co-presenters must register for the conference by June 1 and actively participate in the presentation.
- Online registration starts in May, so we will send a reminder to you with a link and instructions to register.
Standard room and audiovisual set-up:
- Five computer stations will be set up in same room.
- Each station will include an A/V cart with a computer monitor, power, cables and an Ethernet connection; small table for laptop; and sign with title, presenter, etc.
- Presenters must provide their own computer equipped with an Ethernet card.
