Two-week online tools and techniques course
Created for an international organization, this course provided an overview of online learning and the tools available in a learning management system. The goals were to let trainers and others see a variety of online activities and get brief experience logging in and posting to a discussion forum, wiki, blog, and personal profile.
Six-week online teaching course
Optimized for a team from a teaching and learning center at a liberal arts college, this program provided first-hand experience with different types of interactive activities in the online environment. One full week was customized with content specific to the institution. Participants gained an introduction to online teaching, principles, best practices, and more while implementing new ideas in their own curriculum.
