Distance Education Certificate Program Scholarship Opportunity
Scholarship applications are being accepted now for JANUARY 2012 start of the Distance Education Professional Development Certificate Program.
Two scholarships will be awarded.
- Application Deadline: DECEMBER 21, 2011
- Recipients will be notified by: January 5, 2012
- Studies must begin in January 2012
To apply for a $900 Scholarship submit the following to: depd@dcs.wisc.edu

2) A cover letter (MS Word document or pdf) addressing:
- Previous experience (if any) in distance or online learning as a student and/or instructor and/or program planner
- Your goals (professional and/or personal) for your Distance Education Certificate Program studies
- Amount of time per week you can commit to Certificate Program work and when you will schedule this time (e.g. during work hours, weekends, evenings)
- Why you need scholarship funding
- Confirmation that you have and will maintain ready access the Web and e-mail
- Confirmation that you will be able to begin required core course 0101 Learning at a Distance in January 2012 (planned course dates for group-based 0101: January 17- February 25, 2012)
- Confirmation of source of funding and payment method for the $1,900 enrollment fee balance (Plan A enrollment fee $2,800 – Scholarship $900 = Balance Due $1,900)
