DESIEN (Distance Education Symposium Interactive Electronic Newsletter) emerged as a result of a strong recommendation from the participants of the 1994 University of Wisconsin Distance Education Symposium. One of the criteria for the development of this one-year Pilot Project was that an Evaluation take place at the end of the first year to determine DESIEN's usefulness, effectiveness and significance as an ongoing electronic publication. To give the editors further directions and guidance, we would appreciate your candid comments by November 11th.

The DESIEN Mission is to encourage information exchange and discussion of distance education issues concerned with:
