ETC. - "Beyond Chalk" Takes Learning Beyond the Classroom

This 13-program professional development series examines how educational technologies can change the way we teach and learn. The series focuses on how the distance learning can enhance the quality of instruction while improving access to adult learners. It addresses the challenges of technology integration and provides examples of successful classroom application.

The first four programs examine technology-enhanced classroom learning; the next three look at self-paced learning laboratories; the following two focus on extended classroom learning that provides instruction to remote sites and the last four look at classroom-free learning, which offers the greatest flexibility.

The program is available for national use through Public Television. ALSS members can license it for $275 and non-members for $375. The program can be used as an AV resource or as a short-course.
