Instructional Communications Systems

Teach.  Learn.  Meet.

Let ICS help you with your meetings, workshops and courses that need to connect people that are located a distance from each other.  Save travel time and expenses by using our teleconference services.  Instructional Communications Systems, where communications is our middle name.

DE Classrooms:

ICS's DE classrooms support audioconferencingDE235 HD, webconferencing, videoconferencing, and satellite downlinks.  DE235 (pictured) has been remodeled to support high definition videoconferencing with H.239 content at 720p and soon 1080i.  This classroom can also interface with non H.323 connections, such as webcam video used during a webconference.  The rooms are various sizes, from 10 to 57 participants with a variety of room layouts.

Multipoint Bridging:

Our multipoint teleconference services are staffed to provide you the ultimate technical support in the classroom in The Pyle Center or at your location during your teleconference.  Under the WisLine trademark, we provide bridging services for all forms of teleconferencing.  Our scheduling service can help you find the teleconference sites you need, including choices of UW campuses, technical colleges and many K-12 schools.  UW-Extension has some videoconference sites deployed at our county-based offices. 
  • WisLine Audio supports your audioconferencing needs with state of the art multipoint bridging technology.
  • WisLine Web provides you with hosted webconferencing services for classes or webinars.  We support both LiveMeeting and Elluminate.
  • WisLine Video provides multipoint bridging of ISDN (H.320), IP (H.323) endpoints and voice calls.

Instructional and Learning Design:

We also have learning designers on staff to help your faculty, presenters and meeting chairs use distance technologies to their fullest potential. 

Recording and Streaming

Recording and streaming services are also available, including Windows Media and Media Site Live.  In addition to events held on one of our teleconference services or on site at The Pyle Center in Madison, we can record and stream your event from anywhere we can connect with a teleconference connection.

Digital Media and Web Development:

A full production video service is also available from ICS with our studio-in-a-box Tricaster, post production editing facilities, fulfillment and distribution systems, including editing, packaging, and CD and DVD mass duplication. Web site design and management services, including database applications, is available from ICS.

AV Support:

We provide a full service AV department to meet your teaching technology needs in The Pyle and Lowell Centers in Madison.  Both buildings, on the UW Madison campus, have several classrooms, meeting rooms, reception and dining spaces.
