  The Health e-Technologies Initiative is funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. • UCLA's Instructional Design and Technology Unit
  The Instructional Design and Technology Unit at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA was established in 1996 as a resource to assist faculty members in the development of computer-based instructional materials. It facilitates the integration of computing technologies in medical education.

• Collaborative Nursing Program
  The Collaborative Nursing Program (CNP), offered jointly by five University of Wisconsin campuses (UW-Eau Claire, UW-Green Bay, UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, and UW-Oshkosh), was implemented in the spring of 1996. Through the CNP, Registered Nurses in the state of Wisconsin are currently able to complete baccalaureate degrees through a UW System school using a combination of distance learning technologies.

  From the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Nursing, Online Continuing Education, this portal site provides course catalog information as well as creating an online learning community to exchange ideas with peers. Many of the Continuing Education offerings are self-learning modules designed to be completed at your own pace.
• University of Wisconsin Medical School's Continuing Medical Education
  The content of the activities sponsored by the University of Wisconsin Medical School's CME Program includes primary care, specialty, and subspecialty topics in the field of medicine. The CME Program sponsors conferences and workshops; home study courses; visiting clinical fellowships; physician competency assessment and remediation; enduring materials; and distance education by telephone, television, personal computer and other innovative formats.
