ABSTRACT
Everybody loves county fairs, especially the kids who exhibit their projects. From July through September, about 50,000 young people present their project work to judges at 75 county fairs throughout Wisconsin. The kids want to know how well they did on their projects and what they still need to learn. Quality judging is vital to this county fair educational process. So, I developed an annual statewide program in 1999 to train county fair judges. But, instead of hauling the instructors to workshops scattered around the state to reach a few people here and there, I used interactive compressed video to reach all the participants at one time. We saved money. We saved time. And we got the job done.
