Professor Rossing conducted a 100-minute Wisline Web conference (forum) on January 10, 2001. The forum was titled: Community Building and Families: Coalition Applications. This was the instructor's first use of Wisline Web. He participated in two training sessions for interested users in late November and early December of 2000.
OBJECTIVE
This was an introductory session to gauge Family Living Educators (FLE) interest in and response to the topic as a precursor to longer, more in-depth sessions. By using Wisline Web he wanted to reach county?based Family Living Educators in counties around the state of Wisconsin with an interactive program in which they could participate without leaving their office. He also wanted to gain experience using Wisline Web so he could consider its merits for future distance education applications on this topic with Extension professionals and possibly citizen clientele. Professor Rossing set this goal as a way of advancing his specialist contributions/program of work within Cooperative Extension.
