Welcome to an ICS Videoconferencing Orientation Session!
This brief session is designed to help you become familiar with a new environment for teaching and learning. During the session you will:
- find out about the videoconferencing room facility, technology, and media
- learn to use the controls to manage your session
- discover the difference between teaching in a traditional classroom and at a distance
- become aware of the 7 Key areas for successful videoconferencing
- acquire the criteria for creating appropriate visuals
- establish a protocol for managing your session
- explore the importance of creating interaction activities
- briefly rehearse the high points of your session while connected with a remote room at The Pyle Center
