We have been providing distance education programs since: ERVING has provided distance education programs since 1992.
Number of member sites: We have 8 member sites.
Our membership includes (type of sites, eg, high schools, technical colleges, etc.): Our membership includes high schools.
Our member sites are located in these Wisconsin counties: Member sites are located in Waupaca and Shawano counties.
An interesting program we recently provided was: "Virtual College Fair" was an interesting program we offered recently.
The number of programs we offer on a typical day is: We offer 15 programs on a typical day.
Audiences attending our programs include: Mainly high schools students with middle school and elementary students attending special events. We also offer a number of adult programs for staff and community members.
Our most surprising success story was: Several years ago two students from different districts met in an ERVING class and were later married.
Our favorite tip for distance education teachers is: "Using a communication tool like Nicenet, Think.com or Moodle will enhance your experience when dealing with students at a distance. It not only allows you to communicate with them , it allows them to communicate with each other."

A popular topic area for our courses this year is: Online learning integration and blended courses. Also, the ability to see/hear more than 4 sites at one time is creating quite the "buzz!"
On average, the number of people attending our programs last year was: 470 people, on average, attended our programs last year.
A Virtual Field Trip we offered helped students learn about: Live...from the Heart. This program is offered by the Museum of Science and Industry. A highly recommended fieldtrip.
An interesting thing about our network is: All members of our network operate on a common bell schedule.
At our network, we try our best to: Promote distance learning as a delivery method which offers expanded opportunites for students of all ages.
