Starting between April and June 2011, the University of Wisconsin will begin to implement a new human resource, payroll, and benefits system that will streamline hiring processes, increase employee data security, simplify benefits enrollment, modernize the payroll process, and increase customer service. As the new Human Resource System (HRS) is rolled out, all UW employees will have access to the new online Self Service application.
The Human Resource System's Self Service is a secure web-based application accessible by all UW faculty, staff, and student employees where they can view and edit employee personnel information. It gives employees secure access to their human resource, benefits, and payroll information via the Web through My UW System portal (https://my.wisconsin.edu).
Self Service will revolutionize the way UW employees manage their personnel information by putting it at their fingertips where they can access it anytime. Currently, employees can find their earnings, tax, and benefits statements on the My UW Portal.
