About Instructional Communications Systems
Instructional Communications Systems is an academic support unit within the University of Wisconsin-Extension Broadcasting and Media Innovations division.
Whether you need to communicate with a colleague across town or across the country, Instructional Communications Systems (ICS) can connect you. From audioconferencing to videoconferencing and webconferencing, we have the technology and the experience to handle your telecommunication and distance learning needs.
Our interactive technology services provide two-way, real-time communications. You can talk to the participants in your meeting, conference, or class and get their feedback during the event. Discussion is live and fully interactive.
Before, during, and after your conference or meeting, we’re here to support you. We understand the unique needs of our governmental, educational, and non-profit colleagues, and provide the training you need to be successful. You’ll always have someone to call when you have questions.
Located in The Pyle Center, UW-Extension’s conference and distance education center in Madison, Wisconsin, ICS is perfectly situated to accommodate your distance learning and telecommunications needs. The Pyle Center’s exceptional meeting space and leading-edge technology offer you the flexibility to provide the perfect learning environment for your attendees – whether they’re in Madison or hundreds or even thousands of miles away.
ICS-managed technologies include:

In addition, ICS provides many services to support faculty and staff including technical management, technical support, instructional design and training, site coordination and support, and program management and coordination.
