| Q133 - I created a new Web Demo slide to take my participants to a particular URL. Once the page has been displayed for all participants, I clicked on a link to display a new Web page. I saw the new page but my participants didn't. Why didn't the participants see the new page, too? |
The Web Demo slides will show all conference participants the URL that was entered, but it will NOT take them to further links from that page. Each connected computer has a live version of the web site and each site can click on links on the displayed page and go to them independent of the rest of the conference. This means that a presenter cannot take students on a "forced" or synchronized tour of a web site or sites. Each URL to be displayed must be entered on a separate Web Demo slide, or you can instruct participants to click on specific links. Another alternative is to show a web site using the sharing feature. Using sharing you can take participants on a "guided tour" of a Web site, and they will not be able to go to any of the links displayed. |
