Q164 - I'm a presenter. How do I know if I have the Windows Client for Live Meeting installed?

When you log into a meeting for the first time, you will be prompted to install the Windows Meeting Client for your machine. You should say yes to this prompt and allow it to install. Once it is installed, and your meeting console opens, it should look something similar to this picture.

Sometimes, due to certain security measures, the Windows Meeting Client will not be allowed to install or not install fully. If the Windows Meeting Client is not installed, your meeting console will look similar to this picture.

If you try to install the Windows Meeting Client and your console still looks like the second picture, your machine is probably has some security feature that is preventing it from installing. In this case, you should contact your local IT staff to assist you in downloading and installing the Windows Client installer from uwex.edu/ics/wlw/requirements.htm. Before your IT support leaves, you should try logging into your meeting again, just to make sure that your console now looks like the first picture. You will also want to take this time to download the PowerPoint add-in and Sun's Java Virtual Machine, if necessary
