I’m Shavon Simpson -- one of the WisLine reservations coordinators. That’s the greeting you’ll hear each time you call us to schedule a conference call or get information about the WisLine service.
WisLine is the easy, fast and affordable way to meet with your colleagues without leaving your office or desk.
WisLine, the conference call service operated by the University of Wisconsin-Extension, is available to the University of Wisconsin system institutions, governmental agencies, and non-profits throughout Wisconsin and beyond.
With more than 350 lines, WisLine has the capacity and features to serve your conference call needs, such as:
- Participants can dial-in to be automatically placed into their conferences, or our operators can dial-out to your participants
- Toll-free service
- Automated operator recall for help during your conference
- Sub-conferencing
- International calls
- Interconnections with videoconferences or other audio conferences
- Audio level adjustment
- Broadcast mode allows only the moderator to be heard. Participants can be unmuted at any time for discussion and question and answer
- Moderator controls - allow the moderator to mute and unmute conference lines
- Conference recording
- And live or archived streaming
WisLine has many advantages for your conference, meeting, and class needs.
- It’s easy to use. You can call, email or use the form on the web to make a reservation. If you’re new to WisLine, we’ll walk you through the setup.
- WisLine has the capacity to handle your conferences whether large or small.
- WisLine is convenient and flexible. It’s available until 10 pm, Monday - Thursday, 5 pm on Fridays, and until Noon on Saturdays. We can also provide unattended service for calls that are outside of our normal operating hours.
- Our digital audio bridge gives you the best audio quality.
- Forty years of experience in providing educational teleconferencing services helps us understand your needs and expectations. Our reservationists assist you with setup, and our experienced technicians are available to troubleshoot and answer your questions.
