WisLine Web

Conference Audio and Muting

Audio for WisLine Web is provided through the WisLine audioconference service. To get the most out of your WisLine Web experience, you must be connected to the meeting via audio as well as via the Internet. You connect to the audio using any telephone with touch-tone dialing. We also suggest using a full-duplex speakerphone with a mute feature, if possible, for the best audio quality.

To enter the audio portion of the meeting use the number provided in your meeting invitation or registration confirmation. After dialing, you will be prompted to enter your meeting passcode. The passcode is included in your invitation or registration confirmation. After entering the code, you will be connected to the audio portion of your meeting.

It is possible for presenters to mute all attendees at once. To do this, the audio must be set up in advance with separate host (presenter) and guest (attendee) codes. If the meeting is not set up in this way, presenter muting of the attendees is not possible. To have your meeting set up with host and guest passcodes, just ask the WisLine Web coordinator to enable this when setting up your meeting.

The codes are:

To mute all attendees -- 621#
To unmute all attendees -- 620#
(These codes only work if separate audio codes have been set up in advance with the WisLine Web Coordinator.)

In most cases, a meeting will be set up where all the attendees and presenters are using the same code to enter the audio portion. In this situation, all attendees should mute their phones unless they are speaking. This will help reduce background noise, such as typing, phones ringing, babies crying, dogs barking, side conversations and so on. If attendees do not have mute features on their phones, they can still mute and unmute by entering codes on their phone’s key pad.

The attendee codes are:

Attendee Self mute -- 611#
Attendee Self unmute -- 600#

(These codes work only in with WisLine and WisLine Web services. They do not work in normal phone calls.)
