- 4-H YOUTH DEVELOPMENT EDUCATOR (100%) - OUTAGAMIE COUNTY

As a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, employed with Outagamie County, the 4-H Youth Development Educator is a leader in accessing and applying research findings in the social, human and behavioral sciences. The Educator organizes community resources in support of the positive development of youth, especially in the areas of leadership, interpersonal and citizenship skills. Current 4-H Youth Development programming in Outagamie County has a focus on volunteer development, outreach to urban youth and youth leadership development.
4-H Youth Development programming in Wisconsin has a dual focus - providing educational programs for youth, and youth development leadership for communities. The 4-H community club is Extension's fundamental model for youth programming that is offered in counties throughout Wisconsin. Other models of direct programming provide program access to audiences unaware of or unable to access 4-H community clubs. In addition to these direct programs, 4-H Youth Development personnel play a significant role as community leaders in youth development.
- AGRICULTURE AGENT (100%) - SHAWANO COUNTY
- Northeast district
As a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, employed with Shawano County, the Agriculture Agent is a leader in accessing and applying research findings from dairy and animal sciences, agronomy/plant sciences, agricultural economics, and natural resources to meet identified educational needs and interests of county individuals, families, businesses, organizations and communities. The Agent works to integrate concerns and issues at the county, state, and national levels relative to agricultural profitability and environmental quality and to build the capacity of adults, youth, families, organizations and communities
From past University of Wisconsin – Extension work and experiences, stakeholder input and general knowledge about Shawano County agriculture, horticulture and natural resources, it is anticipated that the major focus of this position will be in areas of dairy, animal and crop production, economics and marketing; farm and agricultural business management; agriculture economic development; agriculture leadership development; agricultural youth development; home horticulture; and natural resources.
