Sample Ordinances
Video Tapes
(Revised Catalog, March 1999)
The University of
Wisconsin-Extension Local Government Center has collected video
tapes on many topics of interest for use by Wisconsin local
government officials. Some of the video tapes were produced by the
Local Government Center. Several tapes demonstrate actual
situations facing local officials, and make suggestions about
appropriate responses and behavior.
To obtain video tapes for local
use, contact the Community Resource Development Agent in your
county UW-Extension Office.
County UW Extenson personnel will coordinate the loan directly
from the Cooperative Extension Media Collection. Specific
information on how to borrow the video tapes in this catalog is
provided below.

How to
borrow video tapes
(1) Call the
UW-Extension Office
in your county and identify the video tape you would
like to borrow from the Cooperative Extension Media
Collection. If possible, specify the exact use date.
Please make your request well in advance of the use
date to allow an adequate time for shipping.
(2) Provide a complete
mailing address as to where the video tape is to be
forwarded. Your video tape selection can be mailed
directly to you.
(3) View the video tape.
Please rewind the tape and return it to its original
container.
(4) Please complete the
short evaluation form accompanying the video and place it
in the container with the tape.
(5) Return the video tape
to:

loss is over two million dollars annually. This video tape
explains why a loss is occurring and what towns can do to change
their expenditures and reporting procedures to obtain additional
state dollars for local road maintenance and improvement.

Maintenance
Videotapes on aspects of
road maintenance made available by the UW Transportation
Information Center may be obtained in the same manner as the
Local Government Center tapes. Contact your
County UW-Extension

Town and
Village Board Bylaws and Rules #17212
