Udder Hygiene Scoring
Chart
Grade your cows for clean udders. Clean udders mean clean milk
so if a lot of the cows in your herd score 3 & 4, you know
you have room for improvement. If most of your cows grade 1 & 2,
you're doing well with keeping legs and udders clean. Pads of

Milk Secretion
and Quality Standards
Widespread consumption of dairy products and well-publicized recent
epidemics of animal disease has increased consumer concern about
the quality of foods of animal origin. Along with these trends,
globalization has influenced the definition of "high-quality"
milk. Also, consumer expectations are increasingly affecting animal
management practices. This paper discusses the relationship of milk
secretion and milk quality so that producers can meet the evolving
consumer expectations.
