Jacquelyn Mitchard will be offering two programs at the UW-Baraboo/Sauk County campus on Monday, November 20. From 1:30-4:30 she will be teaching a seminar on Writing for Publication to a small group of area writers. In the evening from 7-8:30, she will present a public lecture, co-sponsored by Continuing Education Extension, the American Business Womens Association and the American Association of University Women.
Ms. Mitchard is a nationally-syndicated editorial journalist and well-known writer. She wrote the book Deep End of the Ocean, a novel which gained popularity as the first selection for Oprah Windrey's book club, and which was made into a major motion picture starring Michelle Pfeiffer. She graduated from the University of Illinois and Rockford College.
