Governor Scott McCallum has declared November 1 as Wisconsin Teen Court Day. Ben Cisneros, a teen court justice from Eagle River, participated in the signing of the Governor's proclamation in a ceremony in Madison in September. Ben was accompanied by Rich van Benschoten, UW-Extension State Specialist and Nancy Anne Livingston, UW-Extension Youth Development Agent in Vilas County. This proclamation supports Wisconsin Teen Court Association efforts to develop new Teen Courts and to strengthen existing courts. The association will host the first annual Teen Court conference on Nov. 1 in Stevens Point.
