WPT to offer spanish language audio when available

Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) today announced it would air a Spanish language soundtrack when it is made available by program producers.

This service is available on stereo TVs or stereo VCRs that include a Separate Audio Program (SAP) function. Most, but not all, newer stereo TVs and VCRs have SAP capabilities.

To access the service, turn on a button or access a menu on either the remote control or the control panel on the front of the TV set or VCR. It will be labeled SAP, MTS, Audio 2 or Audio B.

Each weekday, the children's program Clifford the Big Red Dog provides a Spanish audio alternative. In the near future, there will be more programs in the WPT schedule with the Spanish audio option.

WPT is a service of the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board and University of Wisconsin-Extension.

Wisconsin Public Television is a place to grow through learning on WHA-TV/Madison, WPNE-TV/Green Bay, WHRM-TV/Wausau, WLEF-TV/Park Falls, WHLA-TV/La Crosse and WHWC-TV/Menomonie-Eau Claire.
