Teen Connection, a program co-produced by Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) and Northeastern Wisconsin In-School Communications (NEWIST), will be receiving a media award from the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling in recognition of a recent broadcast on gambling and teens.

"Teens and Gambling" explored why teen gambling is a risk, what can be done to alleviate it and how to help those at risk. The award honors people or organizations that have gone above and beyond in helping the Council achieve its mission of education and promoting public understanding of problem gambling and the disorder of compulsive gambling. It will be presented on March 29 in Wausau.

WPT is a service of the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board and the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
