Plan ahead to attend the 21st Annual International North American Lake Management Society Symposium Nov. 7-9 in Madison.

The event, ¿2001 A Lake Odyssey,¿ will feature five days of informative workshops covering a variety of lake issues from aquatic plant ecology to water quality monitoring. Information offered will help bridge the gap between science, policy and practice. UW-Extension lake specialists will be among the featured presenters.

The Wisconsin Association of Lakes, the symposium host organization, invites all people interested in lakes, rivers, watersheds and reservoirs to participate in this unique conference. The symposium is only held in the Midwest every five years, and this year it¿s in Wisconsin.

The conference is being held at the Monona Terrace Community and Conservation Center. Registration early bird discounts will be offered through Sept. 14.
