University of Wisconsin - Extension

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum/Longenecker Gardens Horticultural Field Day will be Wednesday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants need to register by July 12 for this opportunity to learn about new developments at the gardens and arboretum and hear about advances in woody plant selections for landscape use in Wisconsin. In addition, attendants can tour the extensive woody plant collections of the Longenecker Gardens lead by Profs. Edward Hasselkus and Laura Jull of the UW-Madison/Extension. Morning speakers include Greg Armstrong, UW-Madison Arboretum Director, Ed Hasselkus, Curator of Longenecker Gardens and Professor Emeritus, Laura Jull, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist, Dennis Stimart, Professor and Chair of the Horticulture Dept., and Shelly Ryan, Host Producer of the Wisconsin Gardener TV show.

The fee for this event is $28, which includes a buffet lunch and program fees. Make checks payable to UW-Madison Arboretum. Include your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
