MADISON, Wis.-The Wisconsin Lakes Partnership is pleased to announce the 27th annual Wisconsin Lakes Convention, Water in our Veins: Celebrating Lake Volunteers, which will focus on the accomplishments of volunteers on the waters of our state. Over 100 speakers will gather in Green Bay to share their expertise on water management issues. The Convention is your best opportunity to get the latest information on water law and policy, science, conservation success stories, and protection tools to use in your community. If you would like to have your voice heard on courses of action for Wisconsin's waters, then you should attend this event April 28-30, 2005 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay.

MADISON, Wis.—Wisconsin’s natural beauty lies in the diversity of land and water found throughout the state. The north woods, dotted with thousands of lakes, rivers, and wetlands, have long been a beacon for travelers, providing not only an economic boost, but also a threat to the integrity of these water treasures. With growing concern over the spread of aquatic invasive species to Wisconsin’s inland lakes, many lake association members and other concerned citizens are looking for ways to get involved. The Clean Boats, Clean Waters volunteer watercraft inspection program is offering training and resource kits for volunteers at boat landings.

While eggs are used throughout the year, they are especially important for many spring activities. They are used for cooking festive delights and for decorating and hiding just before the big Easter egg hunt.
