MADISON, Wis.—Interest in finding ways to reduce the number of repeat offenders who commit crimes is very high judging by the attendance at the recent What Works in Criminal Justice Programs Conference in Cable. A large turnout of 112 persons was on hand for the conference on Friday, March 10 at Lakewoods Resort in Cable. Although a majority of the attendees were from northwestern Wisconsin, many came from across the state, including as far away as Kenosha, Beloit, Milwaukee, Baraboo, Green Bay and La Crosse. Twenty-seven Wisconsin counties were represented.
