WPT To Provide Live Coverage of State of the State Address On-Air and Online

Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) will offer live coverage of Gov. Jim Doyle’s State of the State Address from the Assembly Chamber in the State Capitol next week. The speech will air live at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 on WPT and will be streamed live at wpt.org on the Web. Video of the speech also will be archived for future use on the Web site.

WPT’s Frederica Freyberg and Wisconsin Public Radio’s Shawn Johnson will co-anchor the televised version of the proceedings from the Capitol in Madison. They will report on the speech and provide insight and analysis on the topics Doyle covers.

Speaker of the Assembly Rep. Mike Huebsch (R-West Salem) will offer a response to the governor’s remarks following the address.
