The 4-H Program Coordinator is an employee of the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, within the Department of Youth, Family & Community Development and the Youth & Family Institute. The 4-H Coordinator is also a primary member of the Center for Wisconsin 4-H. If appropriate and desired, 4-H Coordinators can affiliate with other Cooperative Extension centers in order to best address the programmatic focus of the position.
The Coordinator leads and manages the full range of the 4-H Youth Development programs including community clubs, after school programs, educational events and camps for a given geographic area. The 4-H Coordinators will respond to local needs, and will provide a connection to the broader University of Wisconsin research, education, and outreach resources.
This position will be expected to build and maintain relationships with the Hmong and Hispanic/Latina/o communities and agencies who serve this public in Eau Claire County. The coordinator will also be expected to create and implement a plan of action to develop a sustainable, linguistically and culturally relevant youth development program within traditionally underserved communities.
