It's Your Choice Open Enrollment

There are important changes to your benefits for 2011 that may require you to take action during the Benefit Enrollment and Change Period which begins October 3, 2011. This is the only time during the year you are eligible to add or change benefit coverage unless you have a life event (marriage, birth, divorce…). All benefit enrollments and changes made during this period will be effective January 1, 2012. Be sure to read the coverage changes for benefits you currently hold. Visit the UW Service Center website for information on insurance changes and enrollment opportunities: http://uwservice.wisc.edu/2012/. A paper application will be required for all open enrollment benefit options except the Employee Reimbursement Account (ERA). ERA enrollment will be completed through the FBMC website: MyFBMC - Please Login. Please watch your email for additional details.

Employee Benefit Updates

A number of changes to the Wisconsin Retirement System, the state health insurance program and union-related deductions are taking effect between July 2011 and January 2012 due to the implementation of Wisconsin Act 10 (2011 Budget Repair Bill) and Wisconsin Act 32 (Biennial Budget for 2011-2013). HRS Implementation

Starting between April and June 2011, the University of Wisconsin will begin to implement a new human resource, payroll, and benefits system that will streamline hiring processes, increase employee data security, simplify benefits enrollment, modernize the payroll process, and increase customer service.
